Download for macOSFrequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about ShareRaven’s native integration and operations.
How does ShareRaven integrate with macOS?
ShareRaven uses official Apple Share Extension APIs. When you install the app and enable the extension in System Settings -> Extensions, macOS adds “Share to X (ShareRaven)” as an option inside any system share menu, whether in Finder, Safari, Photos, or third-party apps.
Which versions of macOS are supported?
ShareRaven requires macOS Sonoma (14.0) or later. It takes advantage of modern Swift and native sharing capabilities in the latest versions of macOS.
Is my account password safe?
Absolutely. ShareRaven connects to X (Twitter) using secure OAuth 2.0. You authenticate directly through X’s secure web login, and ShareRaven only stores the generated access tokens locally on your machine in the macOS Keychain. We have no backend servers and never see your credentials.
Is there an active internet connection required?
Yes, because the media needs to be uploaded to X. However, all processing, scaling, and account storage is handled purely locally on your device. There is no middleman cloud service.
